There is no prerequisite marathon swimming experience required to become a member of the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame. Members come from nearly every profession, race, religion and creed - and include fans, parents, coaches, officials, swimmers and media representatives. But they all share one common bond: their love and respect for the sport of marathon swimming and its athletes.
There are three membership classifications:

Swim Record: US$39
Individual Member: US$35 annual fee
Honorees Circle: US$50 one-time fee available to International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame honor swimmers, coaches, administrators and pilots only
Directors Circle: US$50 one-time fee available to members of the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame Board of Directors
Club Membership: US$100 one-time fee for any club, team or organization
Individual Gold Member: US$250 annual fee
Championship Club Sponsor: US$500 annual fee
Charter Member: US$2,500 one-time fee
Lifetime Member: US$5,000 one-time fee

The International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame welcomes donations of all amounts. Your financial contribution will help the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame fulfill its mission to promote, certify and celebrate the sport of marathon swimming.

The International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame is recognized by the United States Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt, not-for-profit educational organization.
